Paul Janes presents:
ILP005 #SEQUENTIAL TAL Bassline 101 Edition
Since the mid 1980's the unique tone of the Roland SH-101 has made its way onto thousands of electronic music recordings. It was used heavily during the inception of House and Techno and to this day is a sort after synth for dance music production.
It is simple in design - with only one oscillator and envelope - but combined with a fast LFO, Pulse Width Modulation, self resonant filter and simple sequencer it is more than capable of creating a wide spectrum of tones (albeit monophonic).
The TAL Bassline 101 is a faithful re-creation of the Roland machine, which includes all the original features with the addition of complete MIDI control and sync, expanded sequencer, Filter FM and polyphonic mode.
This 150 patch collection features a range of sounds, including bass, sub bass, lead, drum/percussive and effects.
Each patch includes a sequencer pattern demonstrating how the patch works, which can be transposed in real-time via MIDI or easily customised to suit your project.
Thanks to the addition of a MIDI output port the TAL sequencer can also be used to send midi note data to other plug-ins or external hardware - a very useful bonus. It is also possible to import any of the sequencer patterns into any of the patches.
With the addition of several polyphonic* patches to finish off, this collection is a great compliment to the TAL Bassline 101 plug-in, for both seasoned producers and beginners wanting to learn how to get the best out of it.
*polyphonic patches do not include sequencer data.
